South Korea’s government debt topped five-hundred-fifty-billion
U.S. dollars last year… slightly less than previous estimates. The finance ministry says government debt
amounted to five-hundred-fifty-three billion dollars… some 38 percent of the nation’s
GDP. When calculated per person in Korea, it comes
to ten-thousand-eight-hundred dollars. National debt is the total accumulated debts
of the federal and provincial governments over time in a country.
